How did you feel about volunteering and what were your tasks?
“Cliche, as it might be, volunteering at Fekete Sereg, was one of the best experiences of my life. It gave me the opportunity to do something for another community in a different country, during which I would help out daily at the local youth center, participate in the local traditions and festivities, help to organize activities, and give a hand in the art department of things.
From rock climbing to just spending time getting to know everyone, it was an unforgettable memory, filled with amazing experiences and even more amazing people.“
What is your favorite memory?
“One of my favorite memories is an over the weekend trip to Kéked, where we visited a youth hostel and got to know the reality of northern Hungary, it also reinforced my perception of the amazing sense of community and togetherness that these small communities have.
Shortly, Fekete Sereg was home for me, it taught me so much it was almost a spiritual journey and made me want to volunteer a lot more.“
What are your plans for the future?
“Now I am trying to find an internship so I can take my masters and pursue my dream job of managing an art gallery.“
