When did you do your volunteering project at Fekete Sereg and how long?
-It was project for two months: from 11/01/2022 to 10/03/2022.
What was your motivation to do the project/Why did you decide to be a volunteer (in Hungary)?
What was your project? What was a regular day like?
-I wanted to participate in project because I think that volunteering is very interesting and meaningful activity. Also, it is a really great adventure to volunteer in a foreign country – at the same time you have possibillity to know more about its cultural heritage and lifestyle, you can try to learn native language, travel around and enjoy the beauty of nature in the countryside, be impressed by uniqueness and majesty of architectural buildings in bigger cities.
My project was ,,Follow the wind”.
In the mornings we can not to rush and have time for ourselves, from the afternoon till evening we spend time at the Youth Center.
Which is your favourite memory of the time you spent here?
-Event ,,Territorial cooperation” – all days of the intercultural event itself, all excursions and possibillities during them to learn more about Hungarian culture and traditions. Also final point of the event – Carneval night with lot of music and dancing.
A funny memory you’d like to share
-Our own (my and other volunteers’) created funny epic specific phrases used in various situations. Some of them are in English, some of them are mix of different languages.
How was the life in the flat?
-Very good! I feel so happy that I could live together with other volunteers from different countries and spend such a wonderful time together!
