Less talk about work

BEJA GATHERS 30 YOUTH WORKERS FROM ALL OVER EUROPE FOR … The challenges and problems of each generation was different, and the young people of the 21st century are facing a huge problem, called unemployment. This is becoming an issue in many European countries, e.g. Greece, Portugal, Spain, Italy and etc, and the local and national authorities call the young people to show proactive and entrepreneurial behavior and start their own start-ups and/or business. Of course not every young person has the proper knowledge or skills to start and manage his/her own business that is why, the Erasmus Plus program of the European Union set one of its priorities the Entrepreneurship (developing basic and transversal skills) and is funding several youth projects all over Europe and partner countries to improve the entrepreneurial knowledge and skills of youth workers and young people. “Less Talk About Work-2” is one of such projects, which have gathered 30 youth workers from Armenia, Albania, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Spain, Turkey and Protugal in Beja, Portugal. For the period of 2015 March 12-20 participants will present the challenges and obstacles each of them face in their countries, and find appropriate solutions towards overcoming them using non-formal educational ways of learning. Besides the main topic of the project, this is a great platform for the youth for intercultural learning and development of new projects The main aim of this training course is to enable the development of entrepreneurial skills of young leaders and workers, volunteers and peer educators to undertake initiatives and support other young people in their searching for job opportunities. The project has been funded by the Portuguese National Agency of the Erasmus Plus project. The hosting organisation was Autonomia Descoberto. “While implementing this training course, our team is doing its best to promote best youth work experience in the field of entrepreneurship in the Europe. Every single opinion and offer will be gathered and shared between the participants, in order to enrich and empower them while working with young people”: says one of the organizers Luis Dionisio.
